Moore Park Ravine Trail
6 km loop. The Moore Park Ravine Loop is one of the most beautiful nature trails in midtown Toronto area, and is very accessible whether walking, driving, or taking the subway or streetcar to this area. Visitors of all experience levels love running, hiking, biking, or strolling in these woods right next to Yellow Creek and Mud Creek and along Chorley Park. Includes the Evergreen Brick Works.
Moore Park Ravine and David Balfour Park
7.6 km loop. This is a great city hike that follows trails that connect multiple parks through the splendid ravines of the Don Valley. The forest is quite mature, so you will feel like you are somewhere far away from Toronto. There are numerous portions of this trail that are very beautiful, especially near the historic sites, and there is even a portion that crosses through a cemetery.
Nordheimer, Severn, Wellesley and David A. Balfour Parks Loop
12.4 km loop. Many parks in this loop are known to be part of the best local hiking trails within the city, thanks to its hidden trails that follow the ravine. Enjoyed by walkers, cyclists, joggers, and even bird watchers all year, the trail is wide and mostly even, with only a few muddy areas come spring.
Central Ravines, Belt Line & Gardens Discovery Tour
15.4 km out and back. This self-guided tour begins at the Eglinton West subway station, but there are many other places along the way you could start from if you would like a shorter journey. Along the way you will travel along Belt Line Park, through Mount Pleasant Cemetery, and through a system of natural ravines.
TO Places – Moore Ravine and the Brickworks
The Don Valley Brickworks Park is one of the best little walking parks in Toronto, and getting there by walking down the Moore Ravine trail just adds to the fun. The Moore Ravine trail is wide and well shaded, and for most of its length runs beside Mud Creek.Â
